Phillies update

Philadelphia, which at 28-31 has a better winning percentage than the Orioles, took two of three in Toronto over the weekend. The Phillies are 16-14 at home. Grace is 2-0 with a 3.32 ERA in his past three starts, and is 7-2 with a 3.25 ERA in 15 games at Veterans Stadium. Outfielder Bobby Abreu is hitting .421 with runners in scoring position. Center fielder Doug Glanville has an eight-game hitting streak, batting .405 (15-for-37) with three homers during the run. Third baseman Scott Rolen, last year's NL Rookie of the Year, also has hit in eight straight. Left fielder Gregg Jefferies is hitting .363 (33-for-91) in his past 22 games. Former Oriole Rex Hudler is 4-for-8 lifetime against Johns. Rafael Palmeiro is 12-for-19 with three homers against closer Mark Leiter, a converted starter. The Orioles swept the Phillies last year at home, outscoring them 22-8.
