Open market

Enticing aromas and economical prices will greet you Sunday at the 21st season opening of the Baltimore Farmers' Market. Consumers can choose from a wide selection of organic produce, meats, cheeses, herbs, breads, fresh and dried flowers, preserves and pastries. Experience the largest producers-only market in Maryland at Holliday and Saratoga streets under the Jones Falls Expressway.

Hours are 8 a.m. to sellout, usually noon. The market will be open every Sunday until Dec. 20. For more information, call 410-837-4636 or 800-282-6632. Many dentists got their start by playing with dental toys, games and projects focusing on tooth care and good oral health habits.

With that in mind, the National Museum of Dentistry presents an exhibition of vintage dental toys, games and projects beginning Saturday and continuing through August. Dolls, board games, cardboard cutouts and computer challenges will educate and inspire greater awareness of tooth care and oral health.

The exhibition is free with museum admission of $4.50 adults, $2.50 children, and free to children 6 and under. Museum hours are Wednesdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m. The museum is located on the Baltimore campus of the University of Maryland at the corner of Lombard and Greene streets. Call 410-706-0052.
