New Windsor's firemen's parade is tomorrow

New Windsor Fire and Hose Company No. 1 will hold its annual firemen's parade at 7 p.m. tomorrow in conjunction with the carnival this week.

Marching bands, fire equipment, clowns and floats from the area will be featured.

During the hourlong parade, the following road closures and detours will be in effect:

Main Street, from Church Street at the 7-Eleven store to Church Street at the railroad tracks, will be closed. High Street from Main to Church will be closed.

Water Street from Atlee Avenue to Main will be closed.

Route 75 to Route 31 to Westminster will take this detour: College Avenue to Springdale Road, Springdale to Rowe Road, Rowe to Old New Windsor Pike and Old New Windsor Pike to Route 31.

Route 75 to Route 31 to Libertytown will take this detour: College Avenue to Springdale Road, Springdale to Rowe, Rowe to Old New Windsor Pike, Old New Windsor Pike to Wakefield Valley Road and Wakefield Valley to Route 31.

Route 31 from Libertytown to Westminster will take Wakefield Valley Road to Route 31; Route 31 from Westminster to Libertytown will take Wakefield Valley Road to Route 31.

Route 31 from Westminster to Route 75 will take Old New Windsor Pike to Rowe, Rowe to Springdale, Springdale to College and College to Route 75.

Route 31 from Libertytown to Route 75 will take Wakefield Valley to old New Windsor Pike, Old New Windsor Pike to Rowe, Rowe to Springdale, Springdale to College and College to Route 75.

Fires

Taneytown: Firefighters from Harney and Kingsdale and Littlestown, Pa., assisted Taneytown at 11: 45 p.m. Sunday, responding to a house fire in the 5200 block of Teeter Road. Units were out 30 minutes.

Pleasant Valley: Firefighters responded at 9: 31 p.m. Saturday to clean up debris on Murkle Road at Route 97. Units were out one hour and 27 minutes.

Union Bridge: Firefighters from New Windsor, Taneytown, Westminster, and New Midway and Libertytown of Frederick County assisted Union Bridge at 9: 24 a.m. Saturday, responding to a machine fire in the 100 block of S. Main St. Units were out two hours.

Union Bridge: Firefighters responded at 2: 17 a.m. Saturday to a barn fire on Fountain Rock Road in Frederick County. Units were out two hours.

Taneytown: Firefighters responded at 1: 04 a.m. Saturday to assist police on Creamery Alley near Middle Street. Units were out 14 minutes.

Union Bridge: Firefighters responded at 11: 03 p.m. Friday to a fire alarm in the 500 block of Union Bridge Road. Units were out 23 minutes.

Union Bridge: Firefighters responded at 7: 53 p.m. Friday to a field fire in the 4700 block of Bark Hill Road. Units were out two hours and 27 minutes.
