A 44-year-old woman was killed Friday when she was thrown from her car after it spun out of control on Jumpers Hole Road, slammed into tree stumps and rolled over several times.

Dalean Kay Henry of the first block of Riverside Drive in Severna Park was pronounced dead at North Arundel Hospital shortly after the accident.

Her passenger, Jeffries H. Eilert, 47, of Aurora, Ill., was treated at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was released Sunday, police said.

Police said Henry was heading south on Jumpers Hole Road near Sylvan Avenue in her 1996 Mazda Miata about 3 p.m. when she lost control of her car and veered off the road.

The car struck the stumps, flipped and hit a utility pole before coming to a stop.
