5 exchange students have attended South Carroll High School this year

Five exchange students have been attending South Carroll High School this academic year.

Hannah Gutmann and Gianna Volpe are from Germany; Natasha Isokova, Belarus; Ksenya Makarevich, Russia; and Andreas Nielsen, Norway.

Hannah is from Laufenburg, where her father is a lawyer and her mother a teacher. She is staying with Henry and Martha Chinery. She is involved with the German Club and Multicultural Club at South Carroll.

Gianna, of Hamburg, is staying with the family of senior Shawn Richardson. Her mother is employed in a children's fashion shop, and her father works with computers in a factory. She belongs to the German and Multicultural clubs and Stagelighters.

Natasha is from Vileyka. Her mother is a pharmacist and her father an engineer in marketing. She is the guest of Edward and Caren McGee. Her SCHS activities include the Key Club, Multicultural Club and Young Life.

Ksenya lives in St. Petersburg, where her mother is a doctor and her father is a lawyer. She enjoys dance, the piano and guitar and belongs to the Key Club, Multicultural Club and Stagelighters. She is staying with the family of senior Jessica Wolfing.

Andreas, the guest of Philip and Michele Brand, is from Moss. He plays soccer and runs track and enjoys tae kwon do. He plays the piano and has performed at SCHS honors receptions.
