Clerk struck money taken from Columbia convenience store

A clerk at a Columbia convenience store was struck in the face Wednesday night during a robbery by two men who stole an undetermined amount of money, according to Howard County police.

About 10: 50 p.m., two men entered the Koko's Mini Market in the 7000 block of Oakland Mills Road and demanded cash, police said.

One of the robbers then struck the female clerk with an unknown object before both fled with cash, police said.

The victim was treated for cuts and bruises and released from Howard County General Hospital, police said.
