St. Mary's banged out a season-high 20 hits in cruising to a 17-8, semifinal victory over visiting Arlington Baptist in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference tournament yesterday.

Junior George Chmiel knocked in four of the Saints' first six runs, junior Kevin Corrandini went 4-for-4, and sophomore Justin Kalnoske had three RBIs for St. Mary's. Junior Aaron Polk hit a two-run homer for Arlington.

St. Mary's (15-3) will visit Chapelgate for the championship game at 3: 45 p.m. today, hoping to avenge a 15-7 loss to the Flames in a first-round game Tuesday. St. Mary's won the teams' regular-season meeting, 6-4.
