Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc., one of the nation's biggest owners of radio and television stations, will move its corporate headquarters next year from Baltimore to Hunt Valley.

The company's television production facilities, which handle operations for WBFF-TV and WNUV-TV, will remain on TV Hill.

"We've grown so much, we're running out of space in our current offices. We needed to find another location," said David Amy, Sinclair's chief financial officer.

Amy said that within about two years, "we could double in size in terms of the number of positions we have."

He said that approximately 50 employees will be moved to the new headquarters, which will occupy a five-story building on Beaver Dam Road. The building is expected to be completed by June next year, with Sinclair moving in shortly afterward.

The developers of the building are three Sinclair officials -- Frederick Smith, J. Duncan Smith and Robert Smith. The Smith brothers are leasing the space to Sinclair.

The architect for the building is Tim Sanders of Timonium.
