Yankees: David Wells retired his final 10 batters in his previous start Tuesday night. After yesterday's perfect game, he has retired an AL-record 37 in a row, breaking the record shared by Kansas City's Steve Busby (1974) and Seattle's John Montague (1977). San Francisco's Jim Barr set the major-league mark of 41 in 1972.
