Man gets two life terms plus 20 years in kidnapping, rape of teen-age girls

A man who kidnapped and raped two teen-age girls and assaulted a third in August 1996 was sentenced yesterday to two life terms plus 20 years in prison, the Baltimore state's attorney's office said.

Evidence showed that Louis McGrier Sr. raped a 14-year-old girl Aug. 8 and a 15-year-old girl Aug. 17 and assaulted a 17-year-old girl Aug. 23 in an apartment in the 1600 block of N. Calhoun St. McGrier, who did not live in the dwelling, was apprehended there Aug. 25.

McGrier was convicted by a Circuit Court jury of two counts of first-degree rape, two counts of kidnapping and one count each of robbery, theft and assault.
