'Beautiful' debut

May 14, 1998|By J. Wynn Rousuck

"Psychology of the Beautiful," a new play produced by Action Theater and written by Thomas E. Cole, debuts tomorrow at Theatre Project. Cole, a Baltimorean whose first play, "I Married a Fly," was presented at the Theatre Project two years ago, now turns his attention to a once-fashionable resort hotel, currently inhabited by senior citizens.

Tony Tsendeas plays the hotel's young maintenance man, who is shaken out of his isolation by the arrival of a beautiful woman, played by Donna Sherman. Mark Bernier, Sharol Buck, Kathryn Falcone, Anne B. Mulligan, Mark Redfield and Joseph Riley portray the hotel's residents. The production is directed by Cassandra Davis and features a set designed by the playwright.

Show times at the Theatre Project, 45 W. Preston St., are 8 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays, through May 31. Tickets are $14. Call 410-752-8558.
