Twins update

The Orioles took two of three from the Twins at Camden Yards May 1-3. Before yesterday's 7-0 loss to the New York Yankees, the Twins had the league's best ERA (4.07), but they remain trapped by a team-wide slump. Left fielder Matt Lawton (9-for-50) and shortstop Pat Meares are batting .180 (9-for-50) in their past 14 games. Right fielder Orlando Merced is struggling at .167 (7-for-42) in the span and DH Paul Molitor is batting only .164 (12-for-73) in the past 18 games. Tonight represents Erickson's second shot this season at his former team. He allowed 10 hits and seven earned runs in six innings during an 8-7 loss May 2. Winless in his past five starts, Erickson has been touched for 46 hits and an 8.36 ERA in that span. Kamieniecki returns from the disabled list to make his first start since April 24. Kamieniecki owns a 7-4 career record vs. the Twins, including three of last year's 10 wins.
