Cubs: Sammy Sosa extended his career-high hitting streak to 14 games with a double in the fourth. Scott Servais' triple was the second of his career.

Diamondbacks: Willie Blair, who is 0-6, allowed six hits in six innings. His last win came on Sept. 8 of last season for Detroit. Arizona has gone 19 straight games without having a starter win.

Rockies: Pedro Astacio hit F.P. Santangelo with a pitch in third for his major-league-leading seventh hit batsman.
