Howard County narcotics detectives arrested two Ellicott City women in connection with an alleged heroin buy in Baltimore, police said.

Acting on a tip, detectives followed the women from Ellicott City to a Southwest Baltimore street corner.

The women allegedly bought five vials of heroin, drove back to Howard County and pulled into an Ellicott City convenience store lot, where detectives arrested them, police said.

Charged with heroin possession and intent to distribute heroin is Heather Fleming, 19, of the 4400 block of Dorado Drive. Charged with possession of heroin is Jessica Day, 23, of the 8400 block of Merryman Street.

In March, Baltimore police arrested eight Howard County residents for buying heroin in the same area of the city, police said.
