150 years ago in The Sun April 28: Railroad Accident -- The first morning burden train for York met with a serious accident yesterday morning, at the Phoenix Factory, about 10 miles from Baltimore. The engine was the "Watson," one of the large, new engines lately built at the workshops of the company.

100 years ago in The Sun April 25: Mrs. Halstead, wife of Dr. William S. Halstead, of the Johns Hopkins Hospital, was thrown from her carriage Saturday in Druid Hill Park and badly injured. Mrs. Halstead was driving alone at the time of the accident.

50 years ago in The Sun April 28: When the Paint and Powder Club presents its musical comedy, "Stick Around," at the Lyric Theater Friday and Saturday nights, it will mark the debut of Townsend Scott Jr., as a composer.
