Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Officer assaulted/arrests: Bike patrol Officer Stephen Kolackovsky, 38, was in the 2800 block of Harford Road about 11: 50 a.m. yesterday when he saw apparent drug activity in a parked car and stopped in front of the vehicle. The driver drove off, striking Kolackovsky, who fell to the pavement. Kolackovsky radioed for assistance and described the vehicle. The car was spotted later in Baltimore County where county and city police gave chase for several miles and stopped it at Bucks School House Road and Perry Hall Boulevard in White Marsh. Arrested and charged with assaulting a police officer and multiple traffic offenses were the driver, Derek Maynar, 28, and his passenger, Shana Dryer, 21, both of Baltimore County. No drugs were found in the car. Kolackovsky was treated at Union Memorial Hospital for minor injuries and released.

Shooting: A 17-year-old male and his girlfriend were walking in the 2000 block of N. Rose St. about 9 a.m. yesterday when a gunman shot the male in the buttocks and a leg. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Western District

Shooting: After a car stopped at a traffic light in the 2000 block of Edmondson Ave. about 9: 30 a.m. yesterday, a gunman approached the car and shot the passenger several times in the back. The passenger was treated at Bon Secours Hospital before he was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was in serious condition yesterday.

Southern District

Burglary: A TV, compact disc player, jewelry and a telephone, all valued at more than $1,600, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 1500 block of Webster St.

Burglary: Someone entered the B&O Railroad Museum maintenance shop in the 900 block of W. Pratt St. through a door Sunday and stole a walkie-talkie radio valued at nearly $1,500.

Northwestern District

Stolen car: A 1997 Range Rover with tags 957114M was stolen Saturday in the 3700 block of Hillsdale Road.

Stolen vehicle: A white 1985 Ford van with tags 80D970 was stolen in the 3700 block of Spaulding Ave. on Saturday.

Northern District

Stolen car: A 1987 Chevrolet Cavalier with West Virginia tags NP9661 was stolen Sunday in the 800 block of Powers St.

Garrison Precinct

Arson: A house fire about 7 a.m. Sunday in the first block of Pleasant Hill Lane that caused extensive damage to the dwelling has been ruled arson. The house was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported among the firefighters who responded. A damage estimate was not available.

Robbery: A 14-year-old male was at Church Lane and Valdivia Court at the Twin Lakes Apartments about 1: 30 p.m. Sunday when an older male robbed him of $25 and a compact disc player.
