Greg DeBoy had two hits and drove in three runs as No. 2-ranked Calvert Hall defeated No. 20 John Carroll, 8-2, yesterday in a Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference game.

DeBoy's two-run home run in the sixth tied the game at 2-2 and his RBI triple was a part of the visiting Cardinals' (3-0) six-run seventh. Michael Wineke's triple was another key blow in Calvert Hall's last at-bat.

Brent Gossman pitched the final three innings and allowed one hit to get the win in relief.
