Lamb Chop

The cuddly children's television character Lamb Chop makes an appearance Saturday at Reisterstown Road Plaza. In full-size costume, Shari Lewis' Lamb Chop, star of the Emmy Award-winning PBS series "Lamb Chop's Play Along" and the new PBS series "The Charlie Horse Magic Pizza," performs three 25-minute shows with comedy, magic, games, singing and audience participation, for children of all ages.

Lamb Chop performs Saturday at 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Reisters-town Road Plaza, Center Court, 6564 Reisterstown Road. Free. Call 410-764-3222.

Women on the railroad

Celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of women in railroading this weekend at the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Museum. Through living history presentations, educational activities, tours and lectures, learn how women viewed life on the railroad. This Women's History Month event features depictions of influential women, including B&O civil engineer Olive Dennis, who designed the famous B&O Blue China used in dining cars. The first 100 women visitors will receive a free "Women in Railroading" poster from the gift shop.

The Women's History Month event takes place Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the B&O Railroad Museum, 901 W. Pratt St. Free with museum admission: $6.50 adults; $5.50 seniors; $4 ages 3-12; free for ages 2 and under. Call 410-752-2490.
