March 25, 1998

A Gaithersburg man who was charged with selling balloons full of nitrous oxide Monday was one of 33 people county police arrested outside a heavy-metal concert at a Glen Burnie catering hall, police said yesterday.

Narcotics officers said they saw a man selling balloons full of the inhalant outside Michael's 8th Avenue, in the 7200 block of Grayburn Ave. Kevin Lee Conrad, 25, of the 9800 block of Freestate Place was charged with distributing a noxious substance.

Narcotics officers made the arrests -- 31 others for possession of marijuana and one for distribution of marijuana -- in the parking lot and adjacent areas during the Megadeth concert. Police also seized 15 vehicles they said were being used to transport drugs.
