Boat beat: The scene has taken on a different look now that all boats have crossed the equator. Said John Belsky, aboard EF Language, "The sky looks different, the seas are different and the temperature has even cooled off a bit. It feels pretty strange leaving the Southern Hemisphere after six months of sailing around ice cubes."

Weather: With a big area of high pressure across the Central Atlantic, expect good trade winds to continue, east and northeasterly at 20-25 knots.
