Anne Arundel County police arrested three Severna Park teen-agers Wednesday night on charges of slashing tires in their neighborhood last weekend.

The youths, a 14-year-old from Chartridge and a 14- and a 15-year-old from nearby Carrollton Manor, were charged as juveniles with destruction of property, said Edward Stratton, the Eastern District detective who headed the investigation.

The youths have been charged with one to three counts of destruction of property. Vandalism attacks happen, "but it's uncommon to have that many at one time," Stratton said.

Stratton said three boys were walking around the Chartridge community after dark last Friday when they began randomly slashing tires of parked vehicles with two small knives.
