Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Western District

Drug arrest: A man in possession of 29 capsules of suspected cocaine was arrested Tuesday in the 600 block of Glenolden Ave. and was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.

Drug arrest/assault: Officer Troy Gee was arresting a man in possession of six vials of suspected heroin when the man struck him Tuesday in the 1900 block of N. Monroe St. Jermaine Keith, 21, of the 5200 block of St. Charles Ave. was charged with possession with intent to distribute and assaulting a police officer.

Southwestern District

Carjacking: A motorist was stopped in the 2100 block of N. Hilton St. about 11 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman ordered him out of his maroon 1987 Subaru with West Virginia tags 6T1831 and drove off.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A 21-year-old man was walking in the 4100 block of Pimlico Road about 1 p.m. yesterday when a gunman shot him in the left forearm. He was treated at Sinai Hospital and released.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a man of $60 about 11: 25 p.m. Tuesday outside a carryout shop in the 5100 block of Park Heights Ave.

Essex Precinct

Suspicious fire: A single-alarm fire at the former Riverdale Apartments in the first block of Byway South yesterday evening caused extensive damage to several vacant apartments and was called suspicious. Reported at 6: 05 p.m., the fire was brought under control at 7: 12 p.m. by 50 firefighters from six stations, manning 15 pieces of equipment.

Robbery: The owner of Creatively Yours Unisex Hair Emporium in the 200 block of Back River Neck Road was leaving the shop about 1 a.m. Tuesday when a man who implied he had a handgun robbed her of money and a laptop computer.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Police were seeking a known suspect who entered a house in the 10000 block of Maidbrook Road through a basement door Tuesday and stole lap-top computers, jewelry and a videocassette recorder, all valued at nearly $17,000.

Towson Precinct

Purse snatch: A 31-year-old woman was walking along Solar Circle near Hillsway Avenue about 3 p.m. Tuesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at more than $200.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A 1988 Acura Legend with tags YFR 200 was stolen from the parking lot of Pikesville Senior High School in the 7600 block of Labyrinth Road on Monday or Tuesday.

Robbery: A woman was in the 7400 block of Campfield Road about 7 p.m. Tuesday when a man who implied he had a handgun shoved her to the ground and stole her purse containing $40 and personal property.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Security Mobil station in the 1900 block of N. Rolling Road of $200, two packs of cigarettes and a soda about 10 p.m. Monday. The robbery was reported Tuesday.
