Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Western District

Home invasion robbery: A 77-year-old man was assaulted and robbed about 11 a.m. yesterday by a man who forced his way into the victim's home in the 2300 block of N. Monroe St. after knocking on the front door. After entering the house, the intruder pushed the victim onto a sofa and tied his hands with an extension cord. He then forced the victim upstairs, where he bound his feet with two neckties. After ransacking several rooms, the intruder fled with unknown property. The uninjured victim freed himself after several minutes and called police.

Robbery: A gunman robbed a woman of $40 about 11 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of N. Calhoun St.

Drug arrest: Officer Shawn Johnson was in the 900 block of N. Stricker St. about 4 p.m. Monday when he saw a woman selling drugs. Johnson arrested her and recovered 28 gelatin capsules containing suspected cocaine. The woman was charged with possession of suspected cocaine with intent to distribute and was being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A man left the Paradise nightclub in the 1000 block of W. Barre St. about 2 a.m. Monday and was driving away when he was forced to stop by four men. During an exchange of words, one of the men struck him with a baseball bat and broke the car's windows, removed a radio, valued at $100, from the victim's car and fled. The victim was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center and released. No arrests have been made.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A man leaving a building in the 3000 block of W. North Ave. about 11: 30 a.m. yesterdaywas confronted by a gunman who robbed him of $100 and then shot him. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital.

Carjacking: After picking up a male hitchhiker in the 2700 block of W. North Ave. about 9 a.m. Monday, the motorist was driving in the 1900 block of N. Ellamont St. when the man pulled a handgun, placed it at the driver's head and ordered him to stop. After forcing the driver out, the man drove off in the victim's 1992 Ford Taurus with tags EMX 206.

Burglary: Someone entered an apartment in the 5100 block of Dickey Hill Road on Monday and stole several pieces of jewelry, a mink coat, watch, boots and clothing, all valued at more than $6,000.

Northern District

Robbery: A gunman robbed Roland Park Wines & Liquors in the 4000 block of Roland Ave. of an undisclosed sum of money about 9: 30 p.m. Monday.

Burglary: Stereo equipment, jewelry, 200 compact discs, cash, a rug and a telephone, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen from a house in the 200 block of E. University Parkway on Sunday or Monday. The thief entered through a second-floor window.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A compact disc player, two compact discs, a pair of boots, cash and a bicycle were stolen Monday from a house in the 6000 block of Framingham Road.

Towson Precinct

Robbery: After a man placed a bottle of water on the counter at the 7-Eleven store in the 6300 block of Sherwood Ave. about 1 p.m. Monday, he pulled a knife and demanded money when the clerk opened the cash register. The man fled with an undisclosed sum.

Burglary: Money was stolen from Maryland Cleaning Service in the 7200 block of York Road on Sunday or Monday.
