Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 9400 block of Dunloggin Road: Someone stole a bicycle from an open garage Saturday afternoon.

Ellicott City: 4500 block of Speedwell Court: Someone took a bicycle from an open garage Saturday afternoon.

Hickory Ridge: 6000 block of Shepherd Square: A resident heard footsteps in her kitchen and then discovered that her keys had been taken about 1 a.m. Monday.

Hickory Ridge: 10300 block of Bugle Note Way: A burglar threw a rock through a window of a house and stole a purse containing $700 in cash about 4: 30 a.m. yesterday.

Harper's Choice: 5400 block of Harper's Farm Road: Two Safeway employees were robbed at gunpoint Saturday night. The robbers fled with the employees' money and pagers.

Hickory Ridge: 10400 block of Fair Oaks: Someone kicked the front and rear doors of a home Friday afternoon but did not enter.

North Laurel: 10000 block of N. Second St.: Someone forced open the front door of a mobile home Friday morning.

Clarksville: 12400 block of Clarksville Pike: Burglars pried open the front door of an Exxon station and stole an undetermined amount of cash about 2 a.m. Monday.

Highland: 7100 block of Moorland Drive: A refrigerator and stove were taken from a house under construction Friday or Saturday.

West Friendship: 12200 block of Heathcliff Court: A prowler cut the window screens of a shed Friday or Saturday, but did not enter.

Mount Airy: 17400 block of Nursery Court: A burglar broke a window, entered a garage and stole tires, video tapes and a compact disc player Friday afternoon.
