Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Eastern District

Robbery try/shooting: A 25-year-old man was shot in the stomach during an attempted robbery in the 1800 block of N. Broadway about 10 p.m. Saturday. The victim was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Shooting: Police found a man sitting on the front steps of a house in the 400 block of E. 23rd St. about 4 p.m. Saturday, bleeding from gunshot wounds to his right arm and upper chest. He was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital yesterday.

Shooting: A man was sitting on the front steps of his residence in the 2300 block of E. Oliver St. about 4: 30 p.m Saturday when he heard gunshots, ran into the house and saw he had been shot in the upper right leg. He was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Shooting/arrest: A 13-year-old boy was arrested Friday night and charged with assault after a 15-year-old girl was shot with a BB rifle from the roof of a building in the 2200 block of Jefferson St. The victim was shot in the left ankle and was treated at the scene.

Northwestern District

Shooting: A 15-year-old boy was riding his bike in the 5700 block of Highgate Drive about 8 p.m. Saturday when one of two men he passed shot him in the back. The boy was treated at Sinai Hospital and released. Police said the gunman may have been shooting at someone else. No arrests had been made.

Northern District

Shooting: The 64-year-old owner of St. Paul Restaurant in the 2400 block of St. Paul St. was shot in the right leg about 2: 35 p.m. yesterday during an attempted robbery at the business. After the gunman demanded money, words were exchanged between the two men, and the owner was shot. Police said it was not known if the gunman fled with any money. The owner was in stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.

Carjacking: A 74-year-old woman was about to enter her 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix at Belvedere Plaza in the 5600 block of The Alameda about 4 p.m. Saturday when a man knocked her to the ground, stole her keys and drove off in the car with tags SRD 623.

Burglary: Computer equipment, a videocassette recorder and a combination fax machine and telephone, all valued at more than $1,700, were stolen Saturday from a house in the 3200 block of St. Paul St.

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: While struggling over a $20 bill during a robbery in the 5700 block of Emelia Ave. about 4 p.m. Saturday, a gunman shot a man in the upper left hip. The gunman fled with half of the bill, and the victim was treated at Franklin Square Hospital.

Robbery: An employee of Pizza Hut in the 8600 block of Belair Road was about to enter her car about 3 a.m. Saturday with the day's receipts when two men, one with an unknown weapon, robbed her.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A man was at Wise Avenue and Waterview Road about 10 p.m. Friday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of his wallet and more than $60.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: An 84-year-old woman was getting out of a car in the driveway of her home in the 2600 block of Willowglen Drive about 7 p.m. Saturday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all of unknown value.
