Decision Systems promotes Weber to vice president

Decision Systems Technology Inc. has promoted Lester J. Weber to vice president of the company's newly formed information systems group. Formerly with Harris Corp., Weber joined the Rockville information technology firm in 1997 as general manager of the integrated systems group. The Virginia resident retired from the Air Force in 1992 as deputy chief of staff, computer and communications systems, Strategic Air Command.

Automation Consultants names Brandau manager

Automation Consultants Inc. has named Mark Brandau regional sales manager. A James Madison University graduate, he will develop and manage new accounts for the firm's mid-Atlantic region. The Timonium resident was senior district sales manager for Miller Fluid Power of Chicago before joining the Baltimore-based information technology staffing firm.

Heneson names Jensen junior account executive

Bonnie Heneson Communications has named Janice Jensen as a junior account executive for media relations for the Owings Mills-based public relations and ad agency. A graduate of Towson University, she had been with CadmusCom of Richmond, Va., as an account management and public relations assistant.

Thomas Barbuti is partner at Whiteford, Taylor

Whiteford, Taylor & Preston announced that Thomas C. Barbuti joined the Baltimore law firm as a partner in its real estate department. Barbuti was with the Washington offices of the Ohio firm of Arter & Hadden, and from 1992 to 1996 he was vice president and real estate counsel for Hechinger Co. Earlier in his career, Barbuti, a law graduate of Rutgers University, was a partner at Gordon, Feinblatt, Rothman, Hoffberger & Hollander.


Ellin & Tucker retains Sinex as technology consultant

Ellin & Tucker retained Phyllis C. Sinex as a technology consultant at the Baltimore regional firm. She will provide accounting software, training and support for the accounting and consulting firm's clients.

A certified public accountant and MBA graduate of Loyola College, the Columbia resident was formerly on the staff of C.F.O. of Catonsville.

She is active in the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
