Douglas W. Johnson completes brokerage classes

Douglas W. Johnson, a real estate agent with O'Conor, Piper & Flynn in Hampstead, has completed two classes in brokerage.

The Buyers Brokerage class offers real estate agents working knowledge of the legal responsibilities involved in representing buyers. The Listing Process course reviews successful marketing plans that benefit home sellers.

Johnson has been nominated for 1997 rookie of the year at the office. He earned top sales award for December and top listing agent for January. Dan Rudy, service adviser for Northwest Honda in Owings Mills, has completed training and performance requirements in customer relations and product information.

His training was required by American Honda Motors to earn bronze-level status.

Rudy, of Hampstead, also recently received Northwest's five-year service award. Taneytown Bank & Trust Company has announced two changes in its management.

Christopher D. Holt has been promoted to senior vice president of the business banking division. He will be the bank's senior lending officer with responsibility for all commercial banking services.

He is a graduate of St. Mary's College of Maryland and a Carroll County resident.

Ronald E. Talbert has been named vice president and manager of the Carroll County/Southern Pennsylvania commercial lending team. He has more than 13 years' experience in business development.

Vice President Stephen Pindell will continue to head the Howard County lending team. North Carroll Family Physicians, a family practice center and Doctors Health affiliate, will relocate its offices from 721 Hanover Pike to 4231 Northwoods Trail in Hampstead.

The new offices in Roberts Field will have 8,000 square feet of space, nearly triple the size of the old office.

Dr. Alex Rocha is managing doctor and head of North Carroll Family Physicians. The group consists of three family practice doctors and two physician assistants.

Brothers open collision repair franchises

Brothers Mark and Joe Canby have opened new franchises of CARSTAR, a nationwide collision repair company.

Franchises to Canby Motors in Glen Burnie and Baltimore, and Smoot's CARSTAR in Reisterstown were awarded, along with three others in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

CARSTAR auto repair centers are independently owned and operated and must maintain strict quality standards.

Mark Canby is a resident of Finksburg and Joe Canby resides in the Deer Park area.
