Chateau Builders has opened a model of the Severn, one of 10 floor plans offered at Severn Manor in Annapolis, where the company is building 49 traditional and transitional homes on half-acre to one-acre lots.

Standard features in the Anne Arundel County community include gas heat, 9-foot first-floor ceilings, gas fireplace, brick stoop and steps, and designer kitchens with white-on-white, self-cleaning Jennair wall oven and down-draft cook top. Porcelain sinks and 42-inch wall cabinets are standard features.

The Severn is a 3,614-square-foot home with a starting price $339,990. It is the most expensive of the models being offered. At the front is a 14-by-15-foot living room, two-story foyer with guest closet, 17-by-15-foot dining room, mud/laundry room and two-car garage.

A 13-by-12-foot den, 15-by-19-foot family room with gas fireplace, 10-by-14-foot breakfast area and 11-by-14-foot kitchen with work island are at the rear of the first floor.

Upstairs, the master suite has a 15-by-19-foot bedroom, his-and-her walk-in closets, linen closet, dressing area and bath with a soaking tub, dual vanities, separate shower and privacy toilet.

Three more bedrooms, each with a walk-in closet, and a linen closet and full-hall bath complete the second floor.

The sales office is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Take Interstate 97 to U.S. 50 east, go left on Bestgate Road (Exit 24) and right on Severn Grove Road to entrance on right.
