City's development arm adds 5 directors

The Baltimore Development Corp. announced yesterday that it has expanded its board of directors by five members.

The new members of the city's economic development arm, are: Bert J. Hash Jr., chief executive, the Municipal Employees Credit Union.

Richard J. Himelfarb, senior executive vice president, Legg Mason Inc.

Barbara Plantholt Melera, chief executive, Triad Investors Corp.

James S. Riepe, vice chairman, T. Rowe Price Associates Inc.

Jay M. Wilson, president, Spring Capital Investors Inc.

They join these board members: Roger C. Lipitz, chairman; Bruce D. Alexander, retired senior vice president, Rouse Co.; Richard O. Berndt, managing partner, Gallagher, Evelius & Jones; S. A. "Skip" Brown, president, Belt's Corp.; William R. Brown Jr., city finance director; Daniel P. Henson III, commissioner, city Department of Housing and Community Development; Theo C. Rodgers, president, A&R Development Corp.; and Arnold Williams, managing director, Abrams, Foster, Nole & Williams.
