County police arrested a Glen Burnie woman Saturday and charged her with throwing steak knives at her roommates.

Police were called to an apartment in the 300 block of Mountain Ridge Court just after 8 p.m. to quell a domestic disturbance in which a woman allegedly threatened to stab one of her roommates.

Officer Jeff Shelton calmed the woman and the disagreement ended, police said. About two hours later, Shelton was called back to the apartment because the fight had started again and a woman was armed with a steak knife, police said.

Roommates Oswald Gross Jr., 35, and Tyrone Ragsdale, 33, told police that the woman began arguing with them again, went to the kitchen and got two steak knives and threatened to stab them.

Ragsdale and Gross jumped from the couch to avoid knives the woman threw at them, police said.

Janet Parker, 33, of the Glen Burnie address was charged with second-degree assault.
