Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Elkridge: 7000 block of Brookdale Drive: Two robbers stole an undetermined amount of cash from a security guard patrolling Old Dominion Trucking about 7 p.m. Sunday. The guard was walking around the yard when he was jumped by two men who shoved the victim, grabbed his hair and slammed his head against a truck. The robbers also pushed the guard to the ground and kicked him in the side.

Kings Contrivance: 9700 block of Summer Park Court: Someone tried to enter a home Saturday night through a basement window, but failed.

Long Reach: 9200 block of Rumsey Road: A prowler pried open an office door to Peak Inc. Saturday afternoon, but did not steal anything. The same thief is suspected of breaking into a neighboring office and stealing computers about the same time.

Savage: 9100 block of Windmere Way: A former tenant opened a home using a key to the front door, left a note for the homeowner and stole jewelry, telephone, clothing and toys Sunday.

North Laurel: 9300 block of Kenbrooke Court: Someone pried open a front window and basement window, but failed to get inside between Feb. 23 and Saturday.
