Carroll Christian boys win title, girls fall MACS championships

Senior John Brunson scored 21 points to go with seven rebounds, five steals, and four assists in leading Carroll Christian (24-2) to a 66-59 victory yesterday over Elkton Christian (16-7) for the Maryland Association of Christian Schools Championship.

Brunson was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player.

Girls

Harford Christian 64, Carroll Christian 51: Sophomore Jen Collins had a team-high 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds while junior Kristan McKnight had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Eagles (14-10) to the MACSC title over the Patriots (13-11).

Junior Julie Wike scored a game-high 23 points for Carroll Christian.
