Antex Biologics names Ellingsworth vice president
Antex Biologics appointed Larry R. Ellingsworth vice president of research and development. His primary responsibility will be to direct and manage the firm's multidisciplinary applied research program and product development projects.
Before joining the Gaithersburg biotechnology firm, he was an executive vice president of research and chief scientific officer of the biopharmaceutical company, Metamorphix Inc. Ellingsworth holds a doctorate in immunology from the University of California, Davis, and a master's in genetics from California State University, Sacramento.
Hoffberger appointed CFO of Enterprise Foundation
The Enterprise Foundation appointed Bruce Hoffberger chief financial officer for the Columbia-based charitable organization. A certified public accountant and University of Maryland graduate, he formerly was CFO for Zurich Insurance Group in Baltimore. He is active with The Associated and the Jewish Community Center of Baltimore and is a member of the University of Maryland, College Park Business School Alumni Association and the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers.

Polt joins Baltimore office of Blank Rome Comisky
Blank Rome Comisky & McCauley announced that Leslie Polt, formerly of Smith Somerville & Case, joined the Philadelphia-based regional law firm as "of counsel" and will practice from the firm's newly opened Baltimore office as well its Washington office. A graduate of the University of Maryland Law School, the Baltimore resident is active with the Box 414 Association and the Maryland State Bar Association and is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute and several other legal and professional organizations. Bank of Glen Burnie named Michael P. Gavin executive vice president and chief operating officer. Before joining the Anne Arundel County financial institution, he was senior vice president and director of operations for Susquehanna Bank and had been president of Atlantic Federal. The Severna Park resident is a member of the Greater Severna Park Athletic Association. The Reeves Agency promoted Annette G. Saxon to vice president of public relations. She will direct and develop the agency's public relations division and spearhead programs for its clients. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
