Hopkins women clinch division State

Senior forward Julie Anderson scored 10 of her game-high 18 points during a 24-4 first-half run as host Johns Hopkins (19-2, 11-0) clinched the Centennial Conference's Western Division title with a 71-49 win over visiting Gettysburg last night.

Western Maryland 72, Dickinson 60: Senior Katie Haley scored a team-high 27 as the visiting Green Terror (13-8, 8-4) beat the Red Devils (6-13, 3-7) in a Centennial Conference game.

Washington College 45, Swarthmore 38: Diane Zeng scored season-high 15 to lead the host Shorewomen (14-7, 6-6) past the Garnet (6-13, 2-10) in Centennial Conference action.

Men

Virginia State 92, Bowie State 70: Jeffrey McCall scored 23 and the host Trojans (10-11, 5-8 Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) opened with a 21-1 run to top the Bulldogs (3-16).

Gallaudet 68, Villa Julie 65: Darnell Woods sealed the game with a steal and two free throws with 10.4 seconds left as the Bison (3-17) beat the visiting Mustangs.
