Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northwestern District

Drug arrest: City and state police arrested a suspected drug dealer from Prince George's County yesterday at Gwynns Falls and Tioga parkways and seized more than 4 pounds of suspected cocaine with a street value of more than $400,000. Troy Vernon Barbour, 27, of the 100 block of Foxchase Court in Largo was charged in warrants with handgun and drug violations under the state's drug kingpin statute. He was being held without bail at the city detention center.

Southwestern District

Shooting: A gunman shot a 29-year-old man in the chest and feet Monday in the 3300 block of W. Baltimore St. The victim was in critical but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday. Police said the victim was shot in the upper right leg near the 3300 block in June.

Burglary: A stereo tape player, videocassette recorder and a compact disc player, all valued at nearly $1,200, were stolen Monday from a house in the 4900 block of Stafford St.

Burglary: Someone entered a house in the first block of S. Ellamont St. on Monday after breaking a window and stole stereo equipment, videocassette recorder, television, compact disc player and clothing, all valued at more than $1,300.

Eastern District

Theft: Police were seeking a known suspect who stole a .38-caliber revolver, $1,000 and gold jewelry, all valued at $2,000, from the bedroom of a house in the 2600 block of Beryl Ave. on Jan. 6. The theft was reported Monday.

Garrison Precinct

Burglary: Lawn furniture of unknown value was stolen from in front of a house in the 6600 block of Liberty Road during the weekend.

Woodlawn Precinct

Robbery: Two women were exiting a car in the 900 block of Bardswell Road about 4 a.m. Monday when a man with a shotgun robbed them of their purses containing cash and property, all of unknown value.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A 60-year-old woman was seated in a car parked in the first block of Magruder Ave. about 11: 30 a.m. Monday when a man ordered her out of the vehicle and demanded money. When the woman told the man she had difficulty moving, the man robbed her of a Social Security check, the amount of which was not disclosed.
