Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southwestern District

Robbery: Two youths robbed a man of more than $80 outside his home in the 1800 block of Gertrude Court about 3 a.m. Sunday.

Theft from vehicle: Clothing, shoes and a radio, all valued at more than $900, were stolen Sunday from a 1996 Mazda parked in the 300 block of Edsdale Road.

Western District

Arrest: Officer John Fabula was in the 2700 block of W. North Ave. about 10: 30 p.m. Saturday when he saw a gunman chasing another man. Fabula arrested a man and recovered a loaded .40-caliber handgun. Shawn Johnson, 23, of the 600 block of Mosher St. was charged with assault with intent to murder.

Burglary: Someone knocked a hole in the wall of an adjacent vacant building Sunday, entered Carrollton Food Market in the 600 block of N. Carrollton Ave. and stole 25 cartons of cigarettes.

Southern District

Burglary: A .38-caliber revolver, ammunition and a watch, all valued at more than $900, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 3500 block of Fourth St. in Brooklyn.

Northern District

Burglary: A cordless telephone, 13-inch television, videocassette recorder, 60 compact discs and credit cards, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 3300 block of Guilford Ave.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery/arrest: A man suspected of robbing the Wawa convenience store in the 8900 block of Old Harford Road about 10: 20 p.m. Sunday with a sawed-off shotgun was arrested by city police at Erdman Avenue and Belair Road about 1 a.m. yesterday after leaving a stolen car. Patrick Gallagher, 33, of the 5500 block of Belair Road was charged with the Wawa robbery and four armed robberies and a burglary in Baltimore City, all since mid-January. He was being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center in Baltimore. Additional armed robbery charges in the county were pending.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A man who implied he had a handgun robbed the Sunoco service station in the 100 block of W. Timonium Road of more than $100 about 9 p.m. Sunday.

Suspect in homicides arrested: rested: Thomas Gladden Jr., 20, of the 2000 block of Ridgehill Ave. was arrested at 4 a.m. yesterday in the 2900 block of Ellicott Drive on warrants charging him with the fatal shooting of Noel Blair, 15, of the 3700 block of W. Belvedere Ave. on Dec. 15 in the 5700 block of Highgate Drive. Gladden also was charged with fatally shooting Andre Burrell, 16, of South Baltimore on April 11, 1997, in the 1700 block of W. North Ave. Gladden is being held at the Central Booking and Intake Center. Two brothers, Ronald Sylvester Cook, 23, and Thomas Dwayne Cook, 22, both of the 2000 block of Ridgehill Ave. have been charged in warrants with first-degree murder in the Blair slaying.

Victim identified: Police identified Hugh Jackson Jr., 17, of the 900 block of N. Belnord Ave. as the youth shot to death Thursday in the 600 block of N. Curley St.
