Dayton C. Fouts,85, who held the record for the world's longest run as Santa Claus, died Sunday of cardiac arrest in Tucson, Ariz. He was recognized in the 1998 Guinness Book of World Records for his long role, which dated to 1937.

Walter Bishop Jr.,70, a Harlem jazz pianist who played behind Charlie Parker, died of a heart attack Saturday in New York.
