Bethune women ice Coppin, 64-58

Cold shooting and turnovers continued to hinder the Coppin State women's basketball team last night, resulting in a 64-58 loss to visiting Bethune-Cookman in a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference game.

Coppin (4-12, 2-7) shot only 31.1 percent from the field and committed 29 turnovers en route to its fourth straight loss. .

Bethune-Cookman (3-11, 3-6) was led by Nikisha Moffett's 18 points and nine rebounds.

Coppin was led by sophomore Liesha Mitchell's 18 points, nine rebounds, five steals and three assists. Sophomore center Simone Adams (eight points) had a school single-game record seven blocks for the Eagles.
