7 juveniles charged in burglaries at The Greens

Seven juveniles were charged last weekend in a series of thefts and burglaries that began nearly a year ago in The Greens of Westminster, according to Westminster police.

The suspects, all residents of the development, have been charged with a total of 228 counts of theft, second-degree burglary, destruction of property and alcohol violations, police said. The total damage and losses are estimated at $2,800.

The arrests stem from a three-month investigation by Westminster officers Chris Ilyes and Ron Garner, police said.


Reese: Firefighters from Gamber assisted Reese at 1: 48 a.m. Monday, responding for smoke in a house in the 1600 block of Green Mill Road. Units were out 45 minutes.


Westminster: An employee of Len Stoler Ford told police Friday that someone stole a tailgate from a truck parked on the company lot. The loss was estimated at $770.

Westminster: An employee of Coffey Music told police Friday that someone stole a flute from a store display. The loss was estimated at $2,170.
