Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northern District

Shooting/arrest: A 19-year-old man was arrested late Saturday and charged with shooting another man in the upper left thigh while chasing the victim down an alley in the 5600 block of Lothian Road about 8 p.m. that night. The victim was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Theft: A cassette player, cassette tapes and a radar detector, all valued at more than $200, were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 1900 block of N. Howard St. on Saturday.

Southern District

Theft: Someone entered a house in the 400 block of Arsan Ave. on Saturday and stole $800 and tools valued at $80.

Theft: A wedding band valued at nearly $500 and $30 in cash were stolen Saturday from a house in the 1500 block of Washington Blvd.

Theft: A cellular phone valued at $100 was stolen Saturday from a 1989 Toyota parked in the 500 block of S. Charles St.

Southwestern District

Cutting: A 15-year-old girl was in the 900 block of Franklintown Road on Saturday when she became involved in an altercation with an older male who cut her on the face and head with a knife. She was in good condition yesterday at St. Agnes Hospital.

Purse snatch: A woman was in the 5200 block of Wesley Ave. about 8 p.m. Saturday when a man stole her purse containing $3 and personal items.

Towson Precinct

Purse snatch: A woman was removing packages from her car in front of her home in the 100 block of Regester Ave. about 8 p.m. Saturday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property, all valued at $80, and drove away in an unknown make two-door car.

Garrison Precinct

Malicious burning: Someone parked a 1996 Ford Mustang at the end of Milford Mill Road at Scotts Hill Drive about 2 a.m. Saturday and set fire to the vehicle. It was not known if the extensively damaged car had been stolen.

Burglary: Clothing, jewelry and cash, all of unknown value, were stolen Saturday from a house in the first block of Mainbrook Court by someone who entered through a door.

Stolen car burned: A Stolen 1996 GMC Jimmy was set ablaze Friday night in the 700 block of Mount Wilson Lane.

Robbery: Moments after a man entered a house in the 9700 block of Southall Road about 1 a.m. Saturday to buy drugs, a man known to the victim struck him with a crowbar and robbed him of $50.

Robbery: A deliveryman for Papa John's pizza in the 8100 block of Liberty Road was leaving a house in the first block of Brubar Court late Friday when an unarmed man ordered him to drop his money on the ground and drive away. The robber picked up $100 and drove off in a pickup truck.

Wilkens Precinct

Robbery: A 20-year-old man was walking across the parking lot of Wal-Mart in the 6200 block of Baltimore National Pike about 6 p.m. Saturday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $240.
