New positions

Schnydman named top aide to president of JHU

Johns Hopkins University appointed Jerome D. Schnydman as executive assistant to the president. He will serve as chief of staff and oversee operations of the offices of the university president and the board of trustees.

A 1967 graduate of Johns Hopkins University who was twice elected to All America honors in lacrosse, he most recently served as JHU director of alumni operations and as the director of undergraduate admissions.

He also serves on the board of the Central Scholarship Bureau and is commissioner of the Baltimore City Middle School Lacrosse League.


Diane Hutchins takes leading post at GBC

The Greater Baltimore Committee selected Diane Hutchins as director of governmental relations for metropolitan area business and community interest groups.

She joined the GBC staff from her post as legislative lobbyist for the office of the Anne Arundel County Executive.

A 1976 graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, she has also served as staff assistant to Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes.

Schoor is vice president at Eisner & Associates

Eisner & Associates hired Glen Schorr as vice president and account supervisor at the Baltimore-based ad agency.

He was previously in marketing with Black & Decker Corp., W. B. Doner in Baltimore and DDB Needham Worldwide in Chicago. A graduate of the University of Miami (Ohio), he has won several marketing awards.

Legal and insurance

Lutz, former EPA official, joins Towson law firm

Hodes, Ulman, Pessin & Katz named Randall M. Lutz, former director of the office of criminal enforcement, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as a principal in the Towson-based law firm, where he will head its environmental and health care division.

Lutz received his legal education at the University of Maryland.

A Baltimore County resident, he is member of the National Health Lawyer's Association and sits on the board of the Mental Health Association.
