RANDALLSTOWN -- County police and fire officials are investigating twin incidents: the suspected arson of a vacant house yesterday followed by an attempted break-in at the vacant house next door.

The fire took place at 3: 10 a.m. yesterday in a wood-frame house in the 3900 block of Grierson Road, fire officials said. As firefighters extinguished the flames, police were alerted to an attempted breaking and entering at a house next door, spokesman Kevin Novak said. The incidents appear to be linked, Novak said.

Police had no suspects, Novak said.
