Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Southwestern District

Stolen car: A 1994 Hyundai with tags ELF 148 was stolen Sunday in the first block of S. Beechfield Ave.

Stolen vehicle: A beige 1992 Plymouth van with tags ABG 38F was stolen Sunday in the 800 block of Glen Allen Drive.

Stolen van: A white 1992 Chrysler-product van with handicap tags 48400 was stolen Sunday in the 3000 block of W. Lanvale St.

Stolen vehicle: A blue 1988 Chevrolet Blazer with tags 981063M was stolen Sunday in the 1400 block of Bloomfield Ave.

Western District

Officer assaulted: Officer Scott J. Stenger was arresting a man accused of threatening a woman with a butcher knife outside a house in the 2400 block of Winchester St. about 7: 30 p.m. Sunday when the man pulled away and allegedly struck him in the chest. Stenger was not injured. The 27-year-old man was charged with assaulting the woman and assaulting a police officer.

Assault: Police were seeking two teen-age girls, one known as "Mookie" and the other "Ebony," who allegedly struck and kicked a 15-year-old girl in the face during an incident Sunday in the 1800 block of Appleton St. The victim was treated for minor injuries at University of Maryland Medical Center and released.

Assault: A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a 30-year-old man from the 700 block of N. Longwood St. who allegedly threatened another man with a handgun Sunday in the 2300 block of Harlem Ave.

Eastern District

Theft: Someone entered a house in the 1800 block of N. Regester St. on Sunday and stole a purse containing a check for more than $200, credit cards and $42.

Assault: A man was in the 1800 block of N. Castle St. on Sunday night when another man attacked him, striking him several times with a length of wood. The victim was treated for head and arm injuries at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released.

Northern District

Burglary: A gas-operated dryer and a washer, together valued at $400, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 400 block of E. 27th St. by someone who entered through a basement door.

Burglary: Someone entered Elaine's Grocery & Deli in the 500 block of E. 27th St. Saturday night or Sunday and stole 20 cartons of cigarettes, a 10-speed bike and an AM-FM radio, all valued at nearly $600.

Burglary: A 26-inch bicycle and several blankets, all valued at nearly $120, were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 2500 block of Shirley Ave. by someone who entered through a basement window.

Northwestern District

Robbery: A 17-year-old male was in the 6900 block of Labyrinth Road about 8: 40 p.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of his coat, two videocassette recorder tapes and a set of keys. The coat was valued at nearly $100.

Robbery: Two men knocked a 39-year-old man to the ground about 11: 30 p.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of Liberty Heights Ave. and robbed him of his wallet and $200.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Someone entered a garage in the 7700 block of Park Drive on Sunday and stole two circular saws, a nail gun and an air compressor, all valued at nearly $1,300.

Essex Precinct

Stabbing: A man stabbed another man in the back with a knife during an argument about 10 p.m. Sunday in the apartment they shared in the 1400 block of Hadwick Drive. The 30-year-old victim was transported by state police helicopter to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was in good condition last night. Police said the man declined to press charges against his roommate.
