McCormick names Gillette to lead marketing team

McCormick & Co. named Marianne H. Gillette director of marketing for its flavor division. Previously a market manager in the unit, she was instrumental in the launching of several product lines. A resident of Sparks, she has graduate degrees from the University of Baltimore and University of California-Davis and is a member of the Institute of Food Technologists.

Shaker, Breslau in top posts at Intelligent Automation

Intelligent Automation appointed Steven Shaker director of marketing and Gary M. Breslau director of contracts for the Rockville-headquartered artificial intelligence research and development services company.

Shaker, an author of more than 100 published articles on unmanned systems and robotics, received his advanced degree from Washington State University. He will manage the transition of government-funded research into com-mercial products.

Breslau, with 20 years of project management, finance and contract experience, has postgraduate degrees and certificates from Bryn Mawr College and George Washington University. He will also have responsibility for Federal Acquisitions Regulations and Cost Accounting Standards compliance issues.

Morsberger named V.P. at Eisner, Petrou

Eisner, Petrou & Associates promoted Marybeth Morsberger to a vice president of the Baltimore-based regional ad and marketing communications agency. Before joining the firm in 1996, she was public relations director for the rehabilitation network of the University of Maryland Medical Center. A graduate of Radford University, she resides in Baltimore.

Reeves Agency names Hynson vice presiden

The Reeves Agency selected Bob Hynson for the newly created post of vice president-creative services. A 17-year advertising veteran, he has won numerous regional and national awards and has been featured in several articles in such national publications as Newsweek and Time.

Banking and finance

Shymansky a vice president at Community Bank of Md.

Community Bank of Maryland elected Ann Shymansky as a vice president. Formerly an assistant vice president/business banker with Crestar Bank, she will have responsibility for lending and new business development in the Annapolis area for the Bowie-based financial institution.

Active with the Anne Arundel Trade Council, the Greater Annapolis Chamber of Commerce and other civic organizations, she is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University.


Murray joins Blazek & Co. as marketing consultant

Charles Blazek & Co., an administrative and actuarial services firm with headquarters in Timonium, said Elizabeth A. Murray has joined the firm as a marketing consultant for its record keeping and administrative products.

A graduate of Washington College, she formerly was a paralegal in the tax department of Venable, Baetjer & Howard.
