2-year-old treated for dog bite on face

January 14, 1998

A 2-year-old girl was bitten on the face by a dog Monday as her baby sitter was about to put her into her car in the 1200 block of Kimberly Lane in Glen Burnie, county police said.

The baby sitter, JoAnn L. Kursch, 26, told police a black dog "came out of nowhere" about 4 p.m. and bit the child over her left eye.

The girl, who lives in Arnold, was treated at North Arundel Hospital's emergency room and released.

Kursch told police the dog roams the neighborhood and that it attacked an opossum last week.
