Westminster resident honored by program for outstanding women

Nicole Carroll Cunningham of Westminster has been selected for inclusion in the 1997 edition of Outstanding Young Women of America.

The program honors women ages 21 to 40 who have distinguished themselves in service to their communities, professional leadership, academic achievement, business advancement, cultural accomplishments, and civic and political participation.

Fire

Westminster: Firefighters from Reese assisted Westminster at 23 p.m. Saturday, responding to a basement fire in the first block of Fitzhugh Ave. Units were out 25 minutes.

Pleasant Valley: Firefighters from Kingsdale, Pa., and Littlestown, Pa., assisted Pleasant Valley at 9: 15 p.m. Saturday, responding to a basement fire in the 2700 block of Church Road. Units were out one hour and two minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters responded at 4: 08 a.m. Saturday, responding to a fire alarm in the 200 block of Memorial Ave. Units were out 30 minutes.

Westminster: Firefighters responded at 4: 48 p.m. Friday to a fire alarm in the 1500 block of Carriage Hill Drive. Units were out 37 minutes.

Police

Westminster: A resident of Poole Road told police Friday that property was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked outside his home. The loss was estimated at $200.

Westminster: A resident of East Green St. told police that property was stolen from his pickup truck while it was parked at his home between 11: 30 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday. The loss was estimated at $849.

Westminster: A Tyrone Road resident told police Saturday that his bicycle was stolen while parked in front of a business on West Main Street. The loss was estimated at $600.

Westminster: A resident of Bond Street told police Sunday that someone damaged his home. Damage was estimated at $250.
