Rules of the game
Basketball backboards and poles were gifts in many homes this holiday season.
Bright sunny days may set the stage for the game, but first, homeowners must submit an application to install the backboard. This is the case for portable poles, too.
Each village community center's covenant adviser has the list of rules and application forms.
Size, paint color, location and required screening are all described.
