Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Howard County.

Ellicott City: 5000 block of Stone Hill Drive: A thief entered a garage and stole golf clubs Tuesday afternoon.

Ellicott City: 2600 block of Golf Island Road: A burglar forced open a window and stole a refrigerator, dishwasher and power tools between 1: 45 p.m. Monday and Tuesday morning.

Owen Brown: 6200 block of Light Point Place: Someone broke a glass panel on a garage door and stole stereo speakers, a jewelry box and cologne from two unlocked cars Monday or Tuesday.

Wilde Lake: 4900 block of Reedy Brook Lane: Someone broke a glass pane on a door Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

North Laurel: 9900 block of Washington Blvd.: A thief stole a 1991 Volkswagen Jetta on Wednesday afternoon.

Jessup: 8200 block of Washington Blvd.: Someone entered a home, left with a chair and threw it at a front door window about 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Glenelg: 3600 block of Route 32: A thief entered a home through an unlocked window and stole a heater and checkbook between Sunday and Tuesday.
