Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

Northeastern District

Shooting: A 21-year-old man was shot in the chest about 6: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman objected to the victim's shaking a pole in the 5500 block of Sinclair Lane in which the gunman had hidden narcotics. The victim was in stable condition at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center yesterday. A warrant was issued for the arrest of a suspect.

Southern District

Theft: Equipment valued at more than $200 was stolen Dec. 31 from Alliance Roofing & Sheet Metal in the 4900 block of Pennington Ave. The theft was reported Monday.

Southeastern District

School burglary: Computer equipment valued at $7,000 was stolen from St. Bernardine School in the 3800 block of Edmondson Ave. between Dec. 19 and Jan. 6.

Northwestern District

Burglary: Two semiautomatic handguns and two other handguns, a .40-caliber Smith and Wesson and a Ruger P-89 9 mm, were stolen between Jan. 2 and Tuesday from a house in the 4000 block of Boarman Ave.

Northern District

Robbery: A 61-year-old man was in the 1900 block of N. Charles St. about 1: 30 p.m. Tuesday when a gunman robbed him of about $300.

Essex Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed the Amoco service station in the first block of Back River Neck Road of more than $100 in currency and coins about 2 a.m. Monday.

White Marsh Precinct

Burglary: A Yamaha motorcycle valued at more than $1,000 was stolen from a garage in the 11600 block of Franklinville Road between Jan. 4 and Tuesday.

Garrison Precinct

Stolen car: A 1990 Lexus LS400 with tags CBY 826 was stolen Tuesday from R & H Motors in the 9700 block of Reisterstown Road.

Suspect arrested: Tyrone Rankin, 16, was arrested yesterday in the 4500 block of Loch Raven Blvd. in a Dec. 11 double shooting that left Raymond Robinson, 19, dead. Rankin, of the 4500 block of Marble Hall Road, is charged with first-degree murder, attempted murder, attempted robbery and handgun charges, said Agent Ragina L. Cooper, a city police spokeswoman.

Murder charges: Quinton Davis, 22, of the 4600 block of Manordene Road was charged with first-degree murder yesterday in the fatal shooting of Leonard Williams, 25, of the 6500 block of Falkirk Road. Williams' body was found July 2 in a car parked in the 2000 block of Franklintown Road. Shantron Monroe, 19, also of the 4600 block of Manordene Road was charged last week with first-degree murder in Williams' death. Both men were in the city Baltimore City Detention Center on unrelated charges.

Teen surrenders: Donte Antonio Kennedy, 18, of no known address, who was charged in a warrant with the attempted murder of a 12-year-old girl who was shot in the right leg during a shootout between two men Saturday in the 2100 block of E. North Ave., surrendered at the Southeastern District Police station yesterday. Kennedy was being held at the Central

Booking and Intake Center pending a bail hearing. The second man was being sought.
