Line: Georgia Tech by 3
Series: Georgia Tech leads 1-0
Last meeting: Georgia Tech won, 42-19, in 1954 Sugar Bowl
Coaches: Don Nehlen (130-76-4); George O'Leary (17-19)
Outlook: West Virginia depends on tailback Amos Zereoue, who is third in the nation in rushing at 150.5 yards a game, running behind a good line. An injured foot may keep Zereoue out of the game, though, meaning Curtis Keaton would start. Tech relies on shifty quarterback Joe Hamilton, who threw for more than 2,300 yards, and a superb linebacking duo of Keith Brooking and Ron Rogers. Tech receivers Derrick Steagall and Harvey Middleton will put pressure on West Virginia's secondary, which allowed one less passing touchdown (22) than Tech (23). Neither team has been particularly proficient against the run.
